Downs House is believed to date back to the 1780s and has had an illustrious racing history being the training yard for Eclipse, a thoroughbred from which 80% of today’s blood­stock is believed to be descended.

 

Equine Planning Solutions were commissioned to redesign the exist­ing yard and worked with both the site owner and Jockey Club Estates to produce a scheme which would allow this historic racing yard to be brought back into everyday use.
